Lord: Teach me the REALITY of watching and praying
my spirit is willing, but my flesh is so weak...even as your Word warns...if I do not learn this lesson...I WILL FALL INTO TEMPTATION. Matthew 26:41
I know that it is only as I come into your presence...beholding your face...being still and waiting upon your Word...that I will know the perfect will of your mind...and feel the purpose of your Spirit...You are revealed...
Lord, I confess that I have not come to my Gethsemane...to get up and come kneel at your side and KNOW the battle and conflict of a prayer warrior...to be victorious in prayer.
I have not been bloodied with the sweat of such warfare...but I come asking that you would make me ready...prepare me Lord...use me. I know that my battle is not with flesh and blood...Dark forces, principalities and powers of the unseen world are my enemies...Spirit of God come upon me for battle...
I fear to take one step further without you...without your favor Lord...without your awesome power and Your very Life manifest in me...for these forces do not fear man...they answer to no man's name...there is no authority over them in the flesh...
I wait to do whatever is required of me Lord....to stand in the gap....let your faith be my own, let your will be my own...let your strength and power be my own....I lift up the cup of my trembling that I have feared was impossible to drink...
You have come to partake of it with me...you will walk with me through the Fire...You will consume the dross and I shall be your refined vessel....
